The AND Camp
The AND Camp is an adult improv comedy camp that captures a nostalgic vibe, with unique workshops from some of the country's best instructors, offering a magical overnight retreat experience. Originally founded as a beloved annual retreat at the Jersey Shore, "The AND Camp" will feature renowned improviser and teacher Will Hines, providing an incredible opportunity to enhance your skills and creativity in a supportive environment. To get the most out of the workshops, campers should have taken at least one long-form improv class before camp begins.

Copake, NY
in the Berkshires
The AND Camp will take place in NY's beautiful Berkshire mountains at a stunning and nostalgia-filled campground called Camp Pontiac, established in 1922. Camp Pontiac sits on the edge of a lake, which we will have access to for kayaking during down time. There are restaurants nearby for those wanting a change of pace. There is a 2hr30 train from Grand Central to Wassaic, which is 25 minutes from Copake. We'll have a shuttle going to/from the train station that will be available for those who reserve a spot in advance. We will also set up a discord channel as the date approaches and encourage campers to carpool when possible.
Improv Instruction
Our instructors come from around the country and each have been chosen for their unique skills and strengths, creating a well-rounded curriculum for campers. All campers will cycle through one workshop with Will Hines and will participate in four other workshops throughout the camp. There will be community jams and opportunities to see our teachers perform at night. To get the most out of the workshops, campers should have taken at least one long-form improv class before camp begins.

Your days at camp
Begin your day with an optional yoga class before heading to the dining hall for breakfast* each day. Your day will then be spent in your improv workshops, providing you with 12+ hours of instruction over the weekend. There will be downtime for exploring the local nature, kayaking, connecting with new friends and reuniting with others. Three meals a day will be served in the dining hall and each night will be capped with shows and/or jams in the theater. And of course, no camp is complete without s'mores by the fire!

*Let us know of any dietary needs in advance and we can accommodate them.
Accommodations
Camp Pontiac has welcomed us into their incredible facilities and will be offering a top notch experience for all. In the spirit of getting back to your inner child, we will be staying in their cabins, which will fall into three categories for campers to choose from in advance- male, female, and co-ed. You can choose whichever option is most comfortable for yourself, including requesting cabin-mates. That being said, no one will have to share a bunk bed with another camper. If you can gather a group of 6+ friends/ classmates and sign up together, you can have your very own cabin!
